Privacy, in plain words

Your interview examples stay in this browser by default. We do not receive, read, sell, or analyse them.

What is stored on your device

The app stores your examples, preferences, and rehearsal history in IndexedDB so they survive refreshes and work offline. If you add a paid license, its token and most recent verification result are stored in localStorage. You can remove site data in your browser settings at any time.

Exports

Encrypted JSON backups use AES-GCM encryption in your browser. The passphrase never leaves your device and cannot be recovered by us. CSV exports are deliberately readable and are not encrypted; keep them somewhere you trust.

Network requests

The installed app caches its own files for offline use. It has no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party fonts, or runtime scripts. License purchase and verification contact the Sociobot billing API only when you buy, restore, or periodically verify an unlock. Sociobot/Dodo, the merchant of record, processes checkout details under its own notices. Your deck content is never included.

Voice features

Read-aloud uses your device’s speech synthesis. Optional dictation uses the speech-recognition feature supplied by your browser; depending on that browser, audio may be processed by its vendor. Interview Recall Deck does not record, store, or receive audio. You can always type or think aloud instead.
